(RE) THINKING HABITS Who we are? The project comes from the initiative of 5 students from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro and its main goal is to provide useful and didactic information to the public, seeking changes in the routine of consumption as it is nowadays. Through conversations, exhibition of articles and scientific data on the impact of large generation of solid, non-recyclable and non-reusable waste, with no ecosystem as a whole; This project has as its focus or plastic waste, since its generation has grown among as international communities, mainly by its own practice, but not as easy as the environment, given what is a more important issue, and is highly polluting and persistent in the middle both terrestrial and aquatic. Today, our team is made up of Environmental Science students Bianca Ortiz, Bruna Deveza and Juliana Reis, and Agatha Miralha and Luana Pereira Lopes Biological Sciences. We believe that all of us can be “Teas” (from Tupi: “who have attentive eyes”), paying attention not to the Earth speaking to us, respecting its limits and preserving the maximum for the preservation of the ecosystem. For this it is indispensable to apply a policy of “Rs” and prioritize Rethink and Reuse, rather than recycling. So, as the primary responsible and creators of “unnatural” waste on the planet, we become aware of it by rethinking our habits.
